Angel Patricks Amegbe

Angel Patricks Amegbe is a writer, poet, visual storyteller, and diaspora enthusiast whose work explores diasporic identity, mental health, faith, and belonging. As a multidisciplinary creative, she approaches storytelling as both personal expression and communal practice, using words and images to connect inner and outer worlds.

Community-making is central to her work. She curates Taruwa, a gathering where diasporas connect through storytelling and creative expression, and founded Poetry and Tea, a safe space for well-being and collective creativity. She is the author of two novels, The Days of Silence (Masobe, 2021) and No Pink in a Rainbow (Masobe, 2024)—shortlisted for the CANEX Prize for Publishing in Africa—as well as a poetry collection, SUNDANCE (2023).

Through her writing and the spaces she curates, Angel continues to explore art’s capacity to hold contradiction, spark dialogue, and create openings for healing.
