FICS Creates Comm-UNITY

FICS is a 16 year old non-profit 501c3 organization dedicated to uplifting at-risk communities in Florida, especially Tampa Bay. Our mission is to partner with communities to help them achieve their goals through research, education, training, human services and the arts. All proceeds from this event will fund our afterschool and summer programs, benefitting kids from 6-17. Our idea is that communities know their strengths and needs best and that if we build on the strengths we decrease the risks.  So far, it works.We are always looking for volunteers! Get your community service hours with us. We have Adopted Hanley Road and we do 4 Road Clean Ups yearly (or more).  You like kids? We need mentors, tutors and arts/crafts folks to be teacher for a day or a month. You like adults? We have a huge need for English teachers! Maybe you love EVENTS? We hold 13 to 15 events a year.  We need clerical help, internet/IT gurus, website and MARKETERS.We also select one Research Intern a semester.  www.ficsinc.orgVolunteer Orientation is MANDATORY.  We take volunteers from 14 to 114+.  But if you are 14-17 you must have your parent attend and sign off on consent for you to volunteer.
