About this event

Science & Tech • Science

The EU AI Act is the world’s first comprehensive legal framework for Artificial Intelligence, setting the stage for safe, trustworthy, and human-centric AI in Europe and beyond. It introduces a risk-based approach, governance structures, and enforcement mechanisms that will shape how AI is developed and deployed across industries.

This webinar is organized within the framework of the Horizon Europe project, HumAIne, which develops a novel operating system for human-AI collaboration to support advanced decision-making in dynamic environments.

In this session, Marina Cugurra from project partner, Innov-Acts, is going to:

  • provide a clear overview of the AI Act’s core provisions,
  • explore key milestones and timelines, and
  • dive into practical implications for high-risk systems, GPAI models, and compliance tools.

The session will also highlight opportunities for innovation, such as regulatory sandboxes, and address the broader question: is the AI Act future-proof?

Who should attend?

  • Policy makers & legal professionals: Gain clarity on the AI Act’s governance, enforcement, and alignment within the EU legal framework.
  • Industry leaders & organizations: Understand compliance requirements, risk categories, and tools supporting innovation.
  • AI developers & technology providers: Learn how obligations apply to high-risk systems, GPAI models, and how to leverage regulatory sandboxes.
  • Researchers & students: Explore the EU’s human-centric approach to AI and its implications for global AI governance.
