About this event

Science & Tech • Medicine

Five years on from the success of vaccines in responding to the COVID-19 pandemic, vaccines science and immunization face a multitude of challenges in realizing their full potential for public health.

This livestreamed event at the European Parliament will bring together EU policymakers, industry leaders, and health experts to reflect on how Europe responds to these challenges over the coming years.

With its incredible vaccines sector, rich heritage of vaccines discovery and manufacturing base, Europe can be a bulwark against the headwinds confronting public health.

Keynote speakers will give their perspectives on how to rebuild Europe’s scientific leadership and to harness the full potential of vaccines research for public health, while a panel discussion will explore how the EU and Member-States can foster a policy and regulatory environment that drives vaccines innovation, strengthens industrial capacity, and secures Europe’s place as a global standard-setter in immunization.
