Join us at the EU Czech Presidency high-level event on Strengthening Multilateralism through Science on 29-30 November 2022, hosted together with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP).
This high-level event is organised in the context of the UNEP@50 and Stockholm+50 milestones that successfully bolstered the visibility and importance of science as a foundation of environmental multilateralism. It also builds on 50 years of UNEP’s experience as the leading environmental authority in the United Nations System and the EU’s leadership on environmental multilateralism, research, and innovation.
Through international cooperation, policies and legislation, governments can lead the transformation of our societies to a sustainable future, as is stated in the first UNEP synthesis report Making Peace With Nature. This event recognizes the importance of science in implementing the UN Decade of Action to deliver Sustainable Development Goals.
This conference will provide an opportunity to discuss ongoing and upcoming global efforts related to science-based sustainable development, with speakers from international organisations, EU institutions, representatives of Member States, academic sector, financial institutions, and civil society.
The sessions on Day 1 & Day 2 will be held on two different online platforms. Kindly register for each day separately.
