Integrations and migrations: lessons learned from the trenches

Integrations and data migrations are often underestimated, yet they can make or break the success of a Power Platform project. In this functional, low‑code‑friendly session, you’ll learn how to confidently approach projects where external systems, complex data flows or migration activities play a central role.

We’ll explore the different types of integrations, from operational vs. consultable data to leader–follower patterns and 2‑way synchronisation. We'll discuss when to choose triggers, batch processes, or other approaches. You’ll discover how technologies such as connectors, Power Automate, virtual tables, Power BI and Azure Functions can be leveraged effectively, supported by practical examples.

Beyond the technical components, we’ll dive into one of the most overlooked but critical success factors: documentation. You’ll learn how to create clear data contracts, mappings, table-processing orders and handover-ready documentation that enables smooth collaboration with development teams.

This session emphasizes functional decision‑making, best practices, and hands‑on guidance rather than deep technical complexity.

Copilot looks like “chat”… until you see what changes when Work IQ (your files, emails, meetings, org context + memory + inference) is switched on. In this session we’ll run the same real work prompts side‑by‑side to show what Copilot Chat can do with web + uploaded/referenced files versus what the Microsoft 365 Copilot license unlocks across Search, Notebooks, in‑app skills, and advanced agents.
