This workshop is for you if you are a data steward or a research data professional from any discipline and if you want to be able to:

clearly define and communicate your role;
analyse your stakeholder network and set goals collaboratively;
evaluate the impact of planned changes and create an action plan;
apply stress management techniques and learn how to stay healthy and motivated;
network with colleagues and build a support network.

This workshop fills a thematic gap in training currently available to research data professionals and focuses on developing change agents who can implement effectively FAIR data and Open Science principles in their organizations. Participants will explore essential competencies for their roles, engage with self-marketing strategies, and develop skills in communication, strategy development, and change management. The agenda includes professional growth techniques, resilience building, stakeholder analysis, and goal setting. This workshop is designed to align with relevant European initiatives (e.g. Minimal Viable Skillset for Data Stewards) as well as with relevant Research Data Alliance outputs on professionalising data stewardship .

The workshops will benefit data professionals (e.g. data stewards, data librarians, data managers, etc.) and adjacent professionals with a role in FAIR research data management (e.g. research managers, research policy officers, privacy officers, etc.).
