Python, Pizza & Lightning Talks Night Vol. I
A mixture of Python, drinks and pizza's, bringing the Belgian Python community together.
After having hosted multiple Python meetups at Hard Rock Café Brussels, we've decided to spin the wheel and change the setting of our networking events.
We'll be organizing multiple meetups throughout the year at the Adimian headquarters in Brussels. You'll get the opportunity to network with fellow python enthusiasts while enjoying some drinks and pizza. Join us on Thursday the 19th of March, but be quick to subscribe (our previous editions were fully booked weeks beforehand).
We'll have multiple lightning talks being presented throughout the course of the evening (more details will follow).
Tickets are €10 and will grant you access to the event, lightning talks, drinks and obviously pizza.
Whether you’re a Python expert, experienced or are still taking your first steps in the world of Python development, this is a great gathering to meet people sharing the same passion, network & expand your knowledge.
Talks (more to be added soon):
____________________________________________________________________________
Making filters complicated
Speaker: Joris Geessels, Luceda
"I'll talk about how you to build filters in a complicated and unpractical way with python. but that's just the pretext to talk about the 800 pound python and control flow graphs."
____________________________________________________________________________
Using Requests for flask unittests
Speaker: Maarten De Paepe, Adimian
"Quick overview of Requests internals and how we can use this to our advantage to use it as a test client for flask unittests."
____________________________________________________________________________
# Reloadr: Hot code reloading in Python
Speaker: Hugo Herter, OKESO
"Reloadr is Python library that allows you to to reload Python code (classes, functions) while it's running and while keeping the state of your application. This talk will introduce Reloadr, demonstrate some of it's features and usecases, and dive into it's implementation and the less know features of Python it relies on."
