WWF Sweden and WWF European Policy Office are pleased to invite you to an Ocean Week discussion on how technology can be leveraged to improve fisheries management, supporting full implementation of the EU Common Fisheries Policy.

The event aims to foster strategic dialogue on the integration of novel technologies - such as autonomous surface vessels (USVs) - for ecosystem monitoring and data collection, and their role in supporting the implementation of the Common Fisheries Policy (CFP) and Fisheries Control Regulation (FCR).

Discussion topics include:

Enhancing data accuracy and availability to inform decision-making
Reducing bycatch and improving fish stock management
Supporting a more sustainable and science-based EU fisheries framework
Integrating regional insights into EU policy processes through technological innovation
