Learn to quantify the financial performance of circular products, and connect with industry experts over a European breakfast.
We all believe in circularity, yet why is it taking off so slowly? One key reason is the lack of clear measurement of its financial value. To speed up adoption, we must be able to measure the economic impact of circular products. The Circular Value Index (CVI) does exactly this.
In this session, you will learn how to use the Index to quantify and communicate the financial performance of circular products. Experts from industry and academia will share concise insights and practical perspectives on applying circularity in business.
This year we also look ahead. The World Circular Economy Forum is where the global circular economy community sets its agenda, and we will share a special announcement about what comes next and how you can be part of it.

Introduction: What is the definition of a Circular Product?
Before you can measure circular value, you have to agree on what you are measuring. Join Sandra Goldmark, Associate Dean at the Columbia Climate School, as she sets the definition. What actually makes a product circular, where the common claims fall apart, and why the answer matters far more to your business than it sounds. Sandra is a designer, professor and entrepreneur whose work sits at the intersection of circularity, climate and design. She is the author of Fixation: How to Have Stuff without Breaking the Planet, founded the New York repair enterprise Fixup, and teaches Columbia's course on circular economy strategies for reclaiming value. She brings the rigor that turns a buzzword into a working definition.
