Legitimate Interest as a Legal Basis for Data Processing: Principles, Rights, and Applications

Join us for an online seminar on the legal foundations of personal data processing.

This session will focus on legitimate interest—a key concept under the GDPR that allows organizations to process personal data without consent, provided certain legal and ethical safeguards are in place. You'll gain insights into how this basis works, when it applies, and what protections are required to ensure compliance.

The seminar will be led by a legal expert from CiTiP, KU Leuven’s internationally recognized Centre for IT & IP Law, known for its cutting-edge research in data protection, privacy, and cybersecurity law.

This free webinar is part of the EPRIOS project, an initiative by KU Leuven research groups DistriNet and CiTiP, supported by VLAIO and the Cybersecurity Research Program Flanders, aimed at advancing privacy-engineering practices in industry.
