Intimate Conversations II

To celebrate the 110th anniversary of the iconic Wiltcher’s Hotel we organized an immersive art exhibition for emerging contemporary artists from March 30 to April 2 on the 6th floor of the iconic hotel in partnership with Engarde, the art platform.

Contemporary art invading an entire floor

As an expression of the unbridled emotions and sensitivity of creators, their works of art, performances and other light or video shows will enliven the 7 suites of the hotel in a particularly artistic - often surprising - always attractive way. On the entire 6th floor, the suites will be open to outside visitors as well as to residents of the emblematic 5-star+ hotel.

An exceptional night in the legendary hotel The Wiltcher's

In order to enjoy the evening, the Wiltcher's is offering rooms at a special rate (€290 for 2 people) giving VIP access to the party opening. The next morning you will enjoy a hearty breakfast, served in your room or in the iconic Café Wiltcher's. The perfect opportunity to spend an exceptional night in the Avenue Louise palace.

For the ones wishing to assist only to the opening party, a VIP ticket at 120€/prs is also possible.

Due to a limited number of tickets, early bird bookings are highly recommended.

Inspired and inspiring artists

From different horizons, the artists programmed this year will be none other than

Thibault Huguet - a French designer based in Brussel - whose work with clean lines has already been highlighted at COLLECTIBLE Brussels and at Paris Design Week in 2022.

François Patoue on the other hand is a painter who likes to see his work as that of a singer whose each of his singular proposals can echo the creation of a mixtape or an album.

Will be also attending the artist-performer CY Mirol. Her visual expression is based on "synesthesia": see the sounds, hear the colors. And so for six hours straight, she will occupy Suite 612 with a performance combining painting and sounds inspired by John Coltrane's "A Love Supreme". Also a writer, she will read excerpts from her books and create conversations about love.

Extraordinary artists by the Antwerp art gallery VCRB

The Antwerp-based contemporary art gallery VCRB will exhibit works by artists who are totally beyond the ordinary, providing authentic aesthetic experiences. A way to highlight Belgian and foreign artists and new approaches to contemporary art in all its forms. The artists represented by the VCRB gallery: Bieke Buckinx, Renée Lorie, Bruno Cattani, Ziwei Gong, Miguel Rozpide, Arthur Van de Velde, Graeme Wilcox, Willy Verginer.

The Intimate Conversations event will be a way to give an overview of the collections to be discovered, in more detail and on a longer term basis, in the VCRB Gallery in Antwerp.

Various pop-ups from prestigious brands

Following the example of Guerlain and Chopard - who attended the previous edition - this year again two prestigious brands will participate in the event.

Maison de Champagne Taittinger : A prestigious tasting

During the vernissage, a regular feature of all Wiltcher's events, Taittinger Champagne will be served to guests. For the first time, Taittinger will also be active among the performers as an immersive experience is planned in a suite of the hotel. Some special cuvées will be presented there, specially designed by different artists selected by the famous champagne. Since 1983, the Champagne Taittinger house has collaborated with many renowned artists of our time: such as Victor Vasarely, Hans Hartung, Toshimitsu Imaï, Corneille, Matta, Zao Wou-Ki, Rauschenberg, Amadou Sow, . For this edition, Champagne Taittinger will be present with its "Collection" bottle, a limited edition designed by the artist Sebastião Salgado.

Manalys: the Belgian jewelry exception

Belgian jeweler Manalys will reveal some of its daring creations imagined and handcrafted in the Brussels workshop. What could be more original than setting the mood for these intimate conversations while trying on a designer's signature jewelry? The founder of Manalys, Moses Mann, will also introduce exceptional stones acquired during his travels around the world.

Manalys was born from the desire to offer more than just luxury. The sparkling soul of a precious stone, pure emotion, audacity and freedom in jewelry!

The founder of the Brussels-based company wanted to put his experience and jewelry sensibility at the service of a different approach where the sets are unique, the jewelry sublimated, and the classics reinvented.

A year-long celebration of the 110th anniversary of this icon of the Belgian luxury hotel industry through the prism of art.

The event will be followed by the artists participating in the contemporary art fair, "Art Brussels", which will take place from April 20 to 23 at Brussels Expo. This event will allow the emblematic 5-star+ hotel chain to be a privileged partner of this art fair, expecting no less than 25,000 visitors in the capital.

Pour débuter la célébration des 110 ans du Wiltcher’s Hotel, fondé en 1913, mais aussi fidèle à ce qui devient une heureuse tradition, le Steigenberger Wiltcher’s fera à nouveau place aux artistes contemporains émergents en s’associant à la plateforme d’art Engarde du 30 mars au 2 avril prochains.

Ainsi, ce deuxième volet « Intimate Conversations » réunira à nouveau luxe et volupté dans les suites du 6e étage de l’emblématique hôtel où les œuvres de jeunes artistes belges inspirés et inspirants seront exposées.

De l’art contemporain sur tout un étage

Expression des émotions et de la sensibilité débridées de ces créateurs, leurs œuvres d’art, performances et autres shows lumineux ou vidéo, agrémenteront de façon particulièrement artistique, souvent étonnante, toujours attrayante, les suites de l’hôtel sur l’ensemble du 6e étage du palace bruxellois.

Pour l'évnèment, la très réputée galerie d'art anversoise vrcb présentera une sélection de ses artistes triés sur le volet pour investir certaines des suites du Wiltcher's comme des galeries d'art éphémères.

Un vernissage des plus incroyables et mémorabes au programme.

Des marques de renom présenteront des Pop-Ups expérientiels dans les suites du 6° étages, du Champagne Taitinger coulant à flot et des délices culinaires à volonté seront servis aux invités de cette soirée prestigieuse.

Le fameux joaillier belge Manalys présentera dans un écrin confectionné sur mesure pour l'occasion ses plus belles créations. Des pierres précieuses venues de leur dernier voyage au Sri Lanka seront présentées de manière brute aux invités pour une conversation intime avec son fondateur.
