As a part of the butterfly theme and the exploration of the body, there could also be a sensory experience involving impact play, allowing participants to explore different sensations and their relationship to the body.
About The Project:
"As a visual artist, the Schmetterling project grew out of my relationship with the body and from shared experiences. It explores inner spaces rather than roles or identities. The butterfly masks speak of transformation and reappropriation: taking back what has been damaged, hidden or fragmented. They will be worn by invited body-artists, free to inhabit these figures in their own way and free to express the theme through their own languague. The project will be accompagied by a presentation of photographs and an installation composed of living, human sculptures." — Ilka Rames
