The IHE-Europe Plugathon is a testing event dedicated to specific context applications. It incorporates a unique learning opportunity leveraging IHE experiences from the well-established IHE-Europe Connectathon. It provides a platform for an specific Community to innovate, often on the fly, connecting with the APIs of health IT product solutions in a standardised way.
The IHE-Europe Plugathon will take place alongside the IHE-Europe Connectathon WEEK, in Trieste, Italy from 3 to 7 June 2024.
For 2024 edition the IHE-Europe Plugathon will offer 2 public tracks. Each Track is structured in two blocks: one set of educational activities along with a second set of testing sessions.
- IHE Profiles based on HL7® FHIR® (4 - 5 JUNE):
A crash course on IHE Profiles based on HL7® FHIR® and a place of sharing real world use-case experiences.
- Educational session: a series of training sessions aimed to explore IHE Profiles based on HL7® FHIR® and to analyze their impact in real project implementations.
- Testing session: a unique opportunity to understand how to implement prototypes using IHE Profiles based on HL7® FHIR® interacting with simulators with the support of dedicated standards technical specialists.
- EHDS (5 - 6 JUNE): The journey to the European Health Data Space starting from a real national implementation.
A playground for fine-grained data-access using HL7® FHIR®.
- Educational session: a series of training sessions aimed to explore the ongoing activities related to the creation of the European Health Data Space, and how some countries are working on their national infrastructures in preparation to this epochal turning point.
- Testing session: a playground where developers can test some implementation guidelines and try to access data in a fine grained way with the support of standard technical specialists.
