About this event

Are you planning to apply for a Horizon Europe grant and need clear, practical guidance on how to write a competitive proposal?

This interactive workshop is designed for those with beginner or lower-intermediate experience with Horizon Europe, the EU’s research and innovation funding programme. Whether you are applying soon or planning ahead, you'll gain a clear roadmap to navigate the Horizon Europe proposal process. We’ll take concrete examples from currently open Calls for Proposals from Cluster 5 (Climate, Energy, Mobility) and Cluster 6 (Food, Bioeconomy, Natural Resources, Agriculture and Environment), while the same principles apply across other thematic Clusters as well.

Workshop Format
A compact, hands-on training held in a small group (max. 15 participants) to ensure a tailored and interactive experience. You’ll receive step-by-step instructions on how to prepare a strong proposal, with room for your questions throughout. There will be mini exercises to apply your knowledge right away.

Organized by

Hello, I am Astrid Mechel from EU Funding Consulting. With more than 20 years of experience with EU funding programmes and policies, I am supporting organisations to access EU funding. It is my goal to help organisations to discover suitable EU project funding possibilities and to provide support to submit a high-quality grant application. My main thematic focus is on EU grants for social inclusion, environmental sustainability as well as on research and innovation. I am explicitly addressing newcomers to EU funding as well, such as organisations which generally benefit less frequently from EU funding, e.g. small and medium-sized entities including non-profits, cities/municipalities, and companies.

I have been giving workshops on EU funding for many years and would be happy to see you in the coming one!
