About the Keynote

Prof. Theo Notteboom will discuss the vertical integration movements in the logistics market, with a focus on how container shipping companies, terminal operators and e-commerce players are trying to get a better grip on global supply chains. Does this mean a paradigm shift, what role do smaller less integrated logistics players play in such a market (such as small forwarders), what is the role of digital transformation in the logistics integration and how do regulators deal with this? Also interesting is that shipping and aviation are growing somewhat closer together due to this wave of integration (e.g. container shipping companies buying air freighters)
