About this event

Tours worden in het Engels en Nederlands gegeven / Tours are given in English and Dutch.

In 1980, Ghent welcomed one of its pioneering fully vegetarian restaurants, marking the city's ascent as the vegetarian capital of Flanders. Over time, Ghent's younger generation has embraced a reduced meat consumption, recognizing the culinary delights of meatless meals and demonstrating a heightened environmental consciousness. Embark on a captivating vegetarian food tour with us, delving into the rich history and vibrant atmosphere of Belgium's coolest and most eccentric locale. As you explore, you'll encounter renowned landmarks like the three medieval towers and beloved quays such as Korenlei and Graslei, all while indulging in the diverse offerings of the vegetarian culinary scene. It's important to note that 'vegetarian' in this context excludes meat and fish but may include dairy products.
