About the event
This in-person workshop marks the first anniversary of the Democratic Commons research program and focuses on how to design AI systems that are safe for democracy. As a side event of the FARI Conference, it invites participants to reflect together on the risks AI poses to democratic processes. Make.org, Sorbonne University, Sciencespo Paris and CNRS experts in data science, social sciences, and democratic practice will share the program’s first findings. The workshop aims to encourage open discussion about AI bias and ways to ensure AI supports democratic values.
This event is held as part of the FARI Brussels Conference 2025 under the theme “AI, Robots, and Us: Living with Intelligent Agents?” - Partners Day.
