Agenda
Canada and the European Union stand as reliable and forward-looking partners, committed to sustainable economic growth and the promotion of shared democratic values.
The EU-Canada Business Summit is a one-day event held once a year in Brussels, capital of the European Union, that brings together hundreds of political and business decision-makers from Canada, the EU and the world.
Over the years, the EU-Canada Business Summit has always provided an opportunity to address relevant topics related to the current economic situation in Canada and Europe in a global context. Once again, this year, against a backdrop of geopolitical upheaval and redefined trade alliances, Canada and Europe are being called upon to strengthen their strategic partnership. This increased collaboration will extend to key sectors such as defence, artificial intelligence, research and development, strengthening economic alliances and market diversification.
The EU-Canada Business Summit is a great way to built business relationships through VIP cocktails, private meetings, interactive debates and several exclusive networking activities.

As global security challenges intensify; Canada and Europe are strengthening their cooperation in defence and security. This panel will examine how both partners can align capabilities, share intelligence, and co-develop technologies to build a more cohesive and reliable strategic alliance. Discussions will highlight opportunities for joint action within NATO, transatlantic defence innovation, and the role of Canada–EU collaboration in maintaining global stability.

Artificial Intelligence is rapidly transforming industries and reshaping global economic competitiveness. Canada and the European Union share strong economic ties through agreements like CETA, but evolving global markets demand deeper integration. This panel will explore strategies to enhance bilateral cooperation in trade, investment, innovation, and sustainability. The summit is a unique space for conversation on the cutting edge of Canada-Europe ties and the future of business relations. With the line-up of influential industry leaders and political decision-makers and a wide array of themes discussed, it's an environment rich in insight and a great opportunity for people to meet, network and brew up ideas.

The EU-Canada Business Summit 2023 was, from my perspective, an unequivocal success in fostering the already strong ties and synergies between two influential regions, Europe and Canada. It stands as an event that not only promises inspirational discussions but also delivers concrete insights shared by industry leaders. Beyond that, it offers networking opportunities, putting you in the same room with influential decision-makers from North America and Europe, making it a truly remarkable and enriching experience.

Thanks to the Canada-Europe Economic Chamber - EU and their EU-Canada Business Summit 2023 I had the chance to learn a lot more about Canada as a like-minded business partner for European SMEs. We will definitely share this knowledge with our members.
Stefan Moritz
Secretary General of European Entrepreneurs CEA-PME, Brussels
I participated in the panel exploring the huge potential for EU-Canada cooperation on addressing challenges in the area of raw materials for the green transition. A lively moderated discussion with stakeholders from business and finance entities, followed first by questions from a diverse audience including officials, business, academics and students, then by more informal exchanges. All within the frame of a smoothly organised event. To be recommended.
