Digital exclusion goes hands-in-hands with social exclusion - individuals at the margins of society are also marginalised from the digital world. While Europe is already developing its 6G infrastructures, many people are being left behind and the digital divide is growing. According to the Digital Economy and Society Index Report 2021, 44% of European adults still do not have basic digital skills.The Digital Collective (DigiCo) aims to solve this ever-growing digital divide by catalysing the social impact of organisations and supporting meaningful digital skilling programmes at a European level. DigiCo is on a mission to create a unified assessment approach through the adoption of the DigComp 2.2 developed by the European Commission. DigiCo adopts a multi-stakeholder approach, working together with public, private, and non-governmental organisations to achieve radical digital inclusion.This Launch Event will bring together European NGOs working towards digital inclusion, Experts in Digital Skills Assessment, and Policy Makers at the forefront of decisions at a European level.
