Discovering Your Inclusive Communication Voice

Inclusion starts with how we communicate. While we all value equity and inclusion, our ability to create a truly welcoming culture can be blocked by communication habits and biases we don't even know we have. Often unconsciously.

Like any skill, communication needs practice.

Join us for a dynamic, 90-minute open workshop where we will use fun, arts-based activities to explore and challenge those hidden habits. We’ll be using tools like drawing, miming, and improv theatre to help us check in with our own beliefs, attitudes, and actions.

This workshop is designed to help you become more aware of the subtle ways language and action affect others. We'll explore:

  • The power of active listening.
  • How we respond to differences in native language or gender.
  • Creating space for people with different disabilities and ways of living, like neurodivergence, hearing loss or paralysis.

We all have the power to foster trust and collaboration. If you are willing to experiment, take risks, play, meet others and have fun while diving a bit deeper into what makes communication truly inclusive—this meetup is for you.

Our guest facilitator is Hannah Vanbelle.

Hannah is a longtime theater improviser and loves playing around with applied forms of improv. Her fields of work are in deliberative democracy, citizens’ participation, teaching and design thinking. She loves collaborating and experimenting with workshop creations for different topics, nothing is too weird! Living in and hailing from Brussels makes her love surrealism even more.
