Description
Organised in Brussels on January 22nd, 2015, the Connected Smart Cities Conference is a public event set up as a space for sharing and debate about technology, ecosystems and toolkits for open and connected smart cities.
The conference will cover the following topics:

Interoperability, harmonisation of APIs, solutions portability, avoid vendor lock-in.

Connected Smart cities at national, regional and European level: National networks and their local work. Using the Integrated territorial investments of the structural funds to establish national and local smart city collaboration

Models for holistic procurement – the Smart City innovation ecosystem booster
-
Citizen engagement and tools. Standardised measurements systems and performance indicators.

From smart city pilots to deployment. Exploring the concept City as a Living Lab.
-
The communities (open source developers, coders, citizens). Labs and hubs in cities. Fostering community-driven innovation and entrepreneurship.
Who should join this event?

City and city innovation agency representatives, researches, and companies, interested in Future Internet Open Platforms and community-driven innovation.

City and city innovation agency representatives interested in sharing information about results from IoT, Future Internet and open data pilots and deployments in cities, and the positioning of the different technologies, tools and solutions tested in different environments.

City and city innovation agency representatives, researches, and companies, interested in protecting cities from vendor lock-in, open platforms and open data, and fostering city interoperability and solution portability.

Project representatives of smart city projects pursuing for synergies with other European initiatives.

The Connected Smart Cities Conference is hosted by ENoLL (European Network of Living Labs) supported by FIWARE (FIWARE.org), Organicity, and ECIM (http://www.ecim-cities.eu/) as it is a result of the ongoing collaboration in between ENoLL, Eurocities KSF, the CIP Smart City portfolio and FIRE.
The conference is free of charge but registration is compulsory and spaces very limited.
