Breakfast Session: A recipe for successful innovation
Date and time
Innovation is hard work. It requires the right tools, mind-set and a clear methodology to bring ideas to life.
About this event
There’s a world of difference between an idea and innovation. Innovation is hard work. It requires the right tools, mind-set and a clear methodology to bring ideas to life.
In this Breakfast Session, we will take you on the journey we make from a blank page to a brand-new product or service, ready to launch. We will share our approach to ideation (The Lighthouse) and the project management tool we developed ourselves, based on +12 years of experience (Orbit). These methodologies are not the holy grail but they work for us and they will undoubtedly support your innovation process.
Bert will introduce you to the first step in our Orbit methodology: the Lighthouse ideation. This is based on the Google Design Sprint methodology. He will go over strategic exercises and tools that widen your horizon to deliver concepts that make your business grow.
Next, Kris will guide you through Orbit as a work methodology, taking you from concepts to actual product or service. Here, Orbit really proves its worth. As a visual tangible web application, it allows multidisciplinary teams to oversee everything and work together in harmony, combining waterfall and agile development. The client from his or her side, is always in the loop about the project and is actively involved in the process. Everyone is on the same page in terms of expectations and terminology. Kris will walk you through each phase of the orbit using a case. You’ll discover more about the innovation process behind Telraam, a device we built that performs intricate traffic monitoring and SmartFridge, the connected fridge that we turned into a platform of services.
