Ron Sorini, a former official at the Department of Commerce and the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) and co-founder at Samet Sorini & Associates, a U.S.-based trade advisory firm, will provide insights into the current trade policy direction of the Trump administration. He will discuss recent tariff implementations and the strategic objectives behind them, as well as the key actors and power dynamics within the administration.


The U.S.-Canada Trade Relationship

Eric Miller, former international trade policy advisor to Canada’s Deputy Minister of International Trade and founder at Rideau Potomac Advisors will examine the recent imposition of tariffs on Canadian imports. He will discuss the immediate effects on bilateral trade, potential renegotiations of existing agreements, and the broader implications for North American supply chains. He will also present the possible strategy of the new Carney government in Canada.


The U.S.-EU Trade Relationship

Philipp Lamprecht, Director at the European Centre for International Political Economy (ECIPE), a trade policy expert will discuss the recent tariffs on EU imports. He will explore the EU's response strategies and the US endgame, and the prospects for future U.S.-EU trade negotiations under the current administration.
