Topos & Demos

La conférence permettra, à travers la paroles d'experts, d'explorer les enjeux contemporains de la communication territoriale en Europe.

Cette conférence est organisée dans le cadre du programme de recherche Topos & Demos, porté par Protagoras (IHECS) et l'Université Panteion des sciences sociales et politiques (Dpt. Of Communication, Media and Culture, Journalism Lab) et qui s'intéresse aux enjeux contemporains de la communication territoriale, avec une approche critique portant tant sur ses aspects stratiques, médiatiques et culturels ou liés à l'identité des lieux.

Cette conférence organisée à Athènes, en français, permet d'ouvrir un colloque qui se déroulera les 20 et 21 mai sur l'île de Tinos et qui rassemblera des chercheurs de tous horizons autour de ces questions.

L'objectif de cette conférence est donc de convier des académiques, experts et acteurs de terrains qui partageront leur expérience de la communication territoriale, ses effets sur les territoires et les communautés locales et plus globalement une réflexion entre le territoire, le topos, et la communauté qui l'habite, le demos.

La conférence débutera à 18h et durera environ 2h avant de se poursuivre de manière informelle avec un drink.

This conference is organized within the framework of the Topos & Demos research programme, led by Protagoras (IHECS) andPanteion University of Social & Political Sciences (Dpt. Of Communication, Media and Culture, Journalism Lab). The programme explores contemporary issues in territorial communication through a critical approach addressing its strategic, media, cultural, and place-identity dimensions.

Organized in Athens and held in French, this conference will open a symposium taking place on 20 and 21 May on the island of Tinos, bringing together researchers from diverse backgrounds to discuss these issues.

The aim of this conference is therefore to bring together academics, experts, and practitioners who will share their experience and reflections on territorial communication, its impact on territories and local communities, and, more broadly, on the relationship between the territory — the topos — and the community that inhabits it — the demos.

The conference will begin at 6:00 p.m. and will last approximately two hours, followed by an informal networking drink.
