About this event

Since its launch eighteen years ago, the AMICE Congress has become the most important event at which European mutual and cooperative insurers, their trading partners and EU policymakers congregate to discuss the latest regulatory, legislative and international developments influencing their business.

As the leading European mutual/cooperative insurance industry event, the AMICE Congress brings colleagues together from across Europe.

Delegates include key figures from economic and political circles and senior executives from trade associations, civil society groups and other financial institutions, resulting in an exceptional conference of industry leaders and influencers.

This edition of the AMICE Congress will take place on 03-04 June 2024 in Bilbao, Spain, hosted by AMICE member, Seguros Lagun Aro, part of the MONDRAGON cooperative.

Our theme is "The Art of Mutuality: People, Purpose, Potential". We will explore the uniqueness of the mutual and cooperative insurance sector, and showcase the mutual difference.

Frequently asked questions

Can I bring my partner to the Congress?

Yes. You must buy an Accompanying Person ticket. Accompanying Persons are eligible to attend the social programme, but are not permitted to attend the Congress sessions. Social programme activities are strictly subject to availability at the time of registration.

Where will the Congress take place?

The Congress will take place at the Euskalduna Palace Conference Centre, Avda. Abandoibarra, 4 · 48011, Bilbao, Spain

Will the Congress sessions be translated?

Simultaneous interpretation will be provided at the Congress in English, French and Spanish. German interpretation will be provided if there is sufficient demand. Headsets will be provided. Plug in the headset provided, and select your channel. Please return the equipment at the end of each day.

What is the 'Mutual Meet-Up', and how does it work?

The 'Mutual Meet-Up' is an informal part of the Congress programme, designed to facilitate networking and knowledge sharing. You can take part in small roundtable chats on specific, pre-arranged topics (subject to availability), or arrange your own one-to-one meetings. Facilities will be provided.

When do I need to wear my badge?

Your personal name badge is your entrance pass to all AMICE Congress sessions and activities. Please remember to wear this badge at all times during the Congress and the social activities to ensure your admission.

What is the Congress dress code?

The dress code will be ‘smart business attire’ throughout the Congress with the exception of the Welcome Reception which will be business casual and the Gala Dinner where the dress code will be cocktail attire (lounge or dinner suit for men and cocktail dress/smart evening attire for ladies).

Will there be a Congress app?

Yes. The app will provide details on the Congress programme, speakers, sponsors and delegates. You will also be able to submit your questions to speakers via the app.

Is there an official hotel for the Congress?

AMICE has secured a special rate at the Radisson Collection Bilbao, for 02 and 03 June 2024.

How do I book the Congress hotel?

Will you provide transport between the Congress venues?

Transport will be provided from the Radisson Collection Bilbao (Congress hotel) to the Palacio Euskalduna (Congress location) on the morning of Monday 03 June, and from the Radisson Collection Bilbao to the Guggenheim Museum on the evening of Monday 03 June.

What is the room rate for the Congress hotel?

The Standard Single room rate is € 220/room/night and the Standard Double room rate is € 240/room/night. Breakfast and VAT is included.

What is your refund policy?

The AMICE Congress operates a no refund policy. Delegates are not allowed to transfer their registration without express prior permission from the organiser.
