A European Citizens' Assembly: A New Institution for the Future of Europe
Event Information
About this event
In December 2020, Citizens Take over Europe launched the Manifesto for a European Citizens’ Assembly gathering deliberative democracy experiences from all around Europe to scale up the citizens’ assemblies experiment to the transnational continental level.
Since September 2021, Citizens’ panels are going on in the context of the Conference on the Future of Europe (CoFoE).
We want to present to you the Manifesto revised in the lights of the EU Citizens Panels experiment. Moreover, we will introduce the first pages of our blueprint for a European Citizens’ Assembly, which we are working on.
It will be followed by a thrilling debate with politicians, academics, and civil society representatives to explore the topic deeper.
