NOCAC Head Start

Northwestern Ohio Community Action Commission (NOCAC) is dedicated to empowering individuals and families across Defiance, Fulton, Henry, Paulding, Van Wert, and Williams counties. Through a wide range of programs and services, NOCAC helps individuals achieve stability, self-sufficiency, and success.

As part of NOCAC, the Head Start and Early Head Start programs provide comprehensive early childhood education, health, nutrition, and family support services to children ages birth to five and their families—completely free for qualifying households. Head Start promotes school readiness by nurturing each child’s cognitive, social, and emotional development while supporting parents as their child’s first and most important teacher.

We host training, family engagement events, and professional development opportunities throughout the year as part of our mission to serve children, families, and the community.
