JOCA

JOCA (Just One Click Away) is a UK-based rugby welfare initiative founded by Welwyn Rugby Club after the tragic loss of three young players to suicide. Its mission is to promote mental wellbeing, pastoral care, and emotional support for all members of the rugby community.

JOCA works to destigmatise mental health issues, encouraging open conversation, peer support, and early detection of those in need.

Although not a substitute for professional therapy, JOCA offers a volunteer-led support network across affiliated clubs, covering issues such as mental illness, bereavement, addiction, and other personal challenges.
