About Dru Christine Fabrics & Design
Founded in 2012 by fashion designer, educator, and wardrobe professional Andrea "Dru" Thompson, **Dru Christine Fabrics & Design** is a creative studio dedicated to sewing, fashion, and textile education.
Known for blending fashion design with hands-on learning, Dru has spent more than 30 years helping people bring their creative ideas to life through garment sewing, upcycling, wardrobe design, and custom education. In addition to designing one-of-a-kind garments, she teaches sewing workshops, develops digital resources for makers, works in film and television wardrobe, and curates vintage sewing patterns, fabrics, and creative supplies.
Dru is also the founder and host of Cleveland Frocktails, bringing the global Frocktails movement to Northeast Ohio and creating a space where sewists, quilters, designers, and handmade fashion enthusiasts can celebrate their creativity together.
Her mission is simple: to inspire confidence through sewing, encourage creativity, and build community—one stitch at a time.
