Dr. Lara Salyer, DO, IFMCP
Dr. Lara Salyer, DO, IFMCP is a functional medicine physician, author, and creativity catalyst who believes healing is art—and creativity is medicine.
After navigating burnout, she reimagined her life through the lens of flow neuroscience, somatic embodiment and a deeply rooted desire to make medicine more human for women clinicians.
From her hometown in Monroe, Wisconsin, Dr. Lara runs a holistic membership practice and coaches women practitioners to build lives that are aligned, fulfilling, and delightfully non-traditional.
She serves as a medical director and system strategist for Viaro Health, faculty mentor for The School of Applied Functional Medicine, and the creator of the Catalyst Way, a signature framework used in her mentorship that helps practitioners find clarity, restore their energy, and design systems that feel like them.
Her memoir, Right Brain Rescue, tells the story of a doctor who traded exhaustion for expression—and now teaches others to do the same.
Whether she’s guiding a one-on-one coaching session or teaching workshops in retreats, Dr. Lara’s message is clear: you don’t have to choose between being a good doctor and a joyful human.
