Overtown Children And Youth Coalition
Since 2012, the Overtown Children and Youth Coalition (OCYC) has served as the backbone organization uniting more than 60 partners to improve outcomes for children, youth, and families in Historic Overtown. Through a collective impact model, OCYC coordinates education, workforce development, health, and leadership initiatives that help young people thrive from cradle to career.
OCYC is a designated Florida Children’s Initiative and one of five place-based initiatives statewide working to create lasting, systems-level change. A key focus of our work is closing the digital divide. Through our Laptop Scholarship Program, OCYC has distributed 375 laptops to date, with a bold goal of reaching 5,000 households in five years.
We also invest in the next generation of leaders through our signature I’m the Boss of My Life Youth Conference, a free annual experience that has empowered more than 375 young adults ages 16–24 with confidence, purpose, and vision.
Your support makes this impact possible. Every contribution expands access to opportunity, strengthens youth leadership, and helps build a stronger, more resilient Overtown one child, one family, and one future at a time.
