Georgetown Art Center
The establishment of the Georgetown Art Center in 2013 was fostered by the Georgetown Arts and Culture Board to further the mission of the board. The board partnered with the non-profit, Georgetown Art Works, to operate the Art Center and work toward accomplishing the goals of the Arts and Culture Board. It was envisioned by the board that the Art Center would become the hub of arts and culture in Georgetown and initiate collaborative programming between the Art Center, the Downtown Cultural District’s arts and culture anchors, arts-based businesses, and local and regional artists.
In 2024 the Georgetown Arts and Culture Program began managing the Georgetown Art Center and now partners with the Cultural District anchor organizations, Cordovan Art School at the Art Center, local artists, regional artists, and arts educators to fulfill the mission and vision of the Arts and Culture Board’s Arts and Culture Program.
