Sharon Morrissey is an experienced mediator and conflict resolution specialist, offering services through her private practice, Sharon Morrissey Mediation Services. She specialises in mediating individual, couple, and family system disputes and workplace conflicts, with a strong emphasis on self-determination and reflective practice. Sharon also provides ongoing conflict management support to families and businesses seeking to strengthen and sustain their relationships. Sharon holds a Master of Arts in Conflict Resolution from St. Angela’s College, Sligo, and the University of Galway (NUIG). Her academic background includes a Postgraduate Certificate in Mediation and Conflict Resolution, a Postgraduate Diploma in Leadership and Change, and specialised qualifications in Family Mediation, including Inclusive and Focused Mediation. She also holds a primary degree (National Diploma) in Applied Social Care.
With almost 30 years' experience in Family Support within disadvantaged communities, Sharon brings a depth of understanding, compassion, and resilience to her mediation work. She further enriches her practice with qualifications in counselling, professional training, grief and bereavement support.
Sharon is also a dedicated educator, lecturing in both public and private colleges on subjects including Mediation Theory, Advanced Mediation Practice, Understanding Conflict, Cause Analysis and Dynamics, and Family Mediation. Since 2019, she has developed and delivered course content, integrating self-awareness and reflective practice to equip students with the insight needed to effectively support others.
Internationally, Sharon is part of the faculty at a conflict management academy in Tampa, Florida, providing training and support to returning veterans from Ukraine
