Quex House & Gardens, Powell-Cotton Museum
Quex House & Gardens, home of the Powell-Cotton Museum offers an exciting, fun and interactive day out for all. Every visit is a chance to discover something new, from the museum’s global collections and renowned animal dioramas to the gardens and a Grade II listed manor house. It's fascinating place to explore, play, and connect with stories of people, nature and history.
Ticket price includes a tour of the Grade II listed Quex House (House open for guided tours only; times announced on the day), formerly home to the Powell-Cotton family. The interior of the house is uniquely decorated with ornamental furniture, art and a beautiful library.
Step outside for a stroll around Quex Gardens, set in seven acres and feature sweeping lawns, herbaceous borders, exotic trees, a woodland walk, and a historic walled kitchen garden. Visitors are welcome to bring a picnic to enjoy in the gardens.
Our programme of events caters for all ages and abilities, featuring everything from local history tours and talks, classic car displays, musical performances to LEGO workshops, self-guided garden hunts and trails, plus a host of interactive crafts and open-ended activities.
