Thanet District Council is running free sessions for Adults with Learning Disabilities and their carers to get active in 2026. Carers and support workers are welcome to join in or watch any of the sessions. Funded by Mencap Our Active Community.

Free Summer Holiday Street Sport 2025

We are running Free Street Sport sessions aimed at 9-16 year olds in 3 green spaces this Summer Holiday. Monday, Wednesday and Fridays 5pm - 7pm. We have coaches from Sports IQ, Scorcha Skate School, Ramsgate FC and Boxing with Inclusive Sport.

Thanet District Council are working in partnership with Active Kent and Medway and NHS ONE YOU to run free 6 week courses for people currently smoking and vaping to teach them new ways to reduce stress.

Thanet District Council is working in partnership with KCC, NHS ONE YOU, SEK Cancer Awareness Teams and Family Hub to create Smoke Free Spaces as part of the government Smoke Free Generation scheme. The signs have been designed by local school children.
