Lingard's Tours taking you on a journey of discovering more about the history of Grimsby, Cleethorpes, Healing, and villages within northern Lincolnshire.These are gentle guided walks where you can learn more about the history of a place, the people that lived there and about the architecture of the buildings.Emma has been leading guided history walks for the last 10 years, starting out as a volunteer walk leader as part of the Lincolnshire Wolds Walking Festival. Her background as a journalist and broadcaster gives her the flair for presenting and leading these walks, as well as her keen passion for history and anecdotal stories about places. She also is regularly called upon to contribute local content to regional and national media; includingWho Do You Think You Are,The Kitchen Cabinet,Sky News,andlocal BBC.Her bookGrimsby Streetswas published by Pen & Sword in July 2017. The Grimsby walks are based on the book. She also regularly gives talks to local groups and as part of cultural events.Emma has a history podcast on Spotify calledThe L Files,where she discusses local history with academic Carla Linford. She was also behind the national award winning Viking event,Grim Falfest.
