'New EU guidelines for environmental aid: opportunities and challenges' by Maria Segura

Maria Segura will present the main features of the new State Aid Guidelines for Climate, Environmental Protection and Energy applicable since January this year. The guidelines have opened up for new opportunities for national authorities to support undertakings in the areas of environmental protection and energy but also give raise to new challenges. There will be a Q&A session.

BIO:

Maria Segura, founder of the law firm Clayton & Segura, specialised in state aid, is a member of the Madrid and Brussels Bar (Liste E). Former Deputy Director of the Competition and State Aid Directorate of the EFTA Surveillance Authority, Maria Segura has been exclusively dedicated to state aid matters for twenty years also serving in different positions within the European Commission. She graduated in Law at the University of Zaragoza (Spain) and earned a postgraduate from the University of Vienna (Austria) and an Ll.M.Eur from the Europa Institut (Saarbrücken - Germany).
