The Power of Authenticity

Do I stay close to these values in my day-to day life?" ‘Finding your purpose’ and ‘reaching your full potential’ sounds like music to your ears but how do you define purpose and how can you reach it? In this final episode in the series of “The Power of” PJ Brady and Jennifer Elliot will talk to you about one of the Mizbiz core values: Authenticity (yes, with a capital A!).

The evening will cover the importance of being true to who you are in order to reach your full potential in work, life and relationships. PJ bases his insights on years of experience in coaching CEO’s in value-based leadership. 1. PJ Brady: The Path to Brave, Smart and Kind

PJ is the founder of the BSK Project, helping parents, teachers and leaders to instil the Brave, Smart, Kind values into their homes, classrooms and teams. He has worked all over the world speaking in 25 countries about values-based leadership, with hundreds of entrepreneurs at the Entrepreneurs’ Organization and coaching CEOs to become incredible leaders.

If we don’t know where we want to go, how can we make the right choices to get there with intention? This is true for all decisions in life whether it is raising children, creating a career path or nurturing a relationship. We need to have a destination in mind to make the best decisions to get there, and if we want to live our most authentic lives, our destinations are our values. Come and learn how a father is taking lessons from value-based leadership to raise his daughters and how you can apply these lessons both at home and in your career.

2. Jennifer Elliot on Purposeful leadership

“Your life is your story so you might as well write an interesting one.”

Jennifer Elliot is a law-graduate, marketeer, gemmologist and founder of Mizbiz and Elliot & Ostrich Jewellery. Years she spent contemplating what her purpose in life was and how she could make the most of her potential. Many ideas came, many ideas went because they did not pass the “financial security” test. Failure was not an option. Until Jennifer found the key to her personal happiness and realised success and failure come as a package deal. True failure is failing to change an unfulfilling situation. Come and learn how her unusual career moves led to founding Elliot & Ostrich. She will share how she continues to embrace the shift from left-brain to right-brain decision-making.
