About this event

This is a program consisting of 7 sessions. Know that this is a complete program with some homework in between, ending with a Pauwels Consulting certificate.

You cannot register for 1 webinar, you have to register for the 7 webinars. So register for each webinar of the series.

Attention: max 14 registrations

March 30th – 18h-19h - Introduction to Yellow Belt Program 1: DMAIC – SIPOC – KPI’s - TIMWOOD

In this 1h webinar, we will explain the different 6-sigma project phases -DMAIC- and the differences between Yellow-, Green- and Black Belt projects. We will start explaining the benefits of a SIPOC and KPI’s. Next to this we will pay also attention on the 7 categories of waste, also known as TIMWOOD, you can possibly find and eliminate in a process. By doing, you will enter into the world of LEAN.

April 20th – 18h-19h – Yellow Belt Program 2: 5S, a lean six sigma tool

In this 1h webinar, you will get an introduction into the 5S methodology. “5S” will deliver you a clean, safe and structured workspace.  We will explain the 5 steps with stories and pictures out of projects we facilitated in the past and give tips & tricks based on lessons learned in those projects. We will also do a “5S” simulation game during the webinar so that you can “feel” 5S and the benefits it can bring.

April 27th – 18h-19h – Yellow Belt Program 3: Using the right graphs

It may sound obvious that one should use the right graphs to present figures but in practice we often see that it is not always that obvious. In this 1h webinar, we will show some examples and explain the use/purpose of a “time-series-plot”, “pareto-plot” and “frequency-plot”. Using the right graphs is often key for making a right analysis in a six-sigma project and to motivate decision-makers to take (no) action in one or another direction.

May 4th – 18h-19h30 – Yellow belt Program 4: VSM & brainstorming

In this 1h30 webinar, you will get before the break an introduction into “Value Stream Mapping” (=VSM). The VSM is more than just a process map. We will explain which information you find in a VSM and what you can do with that. We will also explain how you can draw/build a VSM. One will discover how VSM can be used in the lean-six-sigma-methodology / -philosophy. After a short bio-break we will explain Do’s and Don’ts, based on many brainstormings we facilitated or participated in the past, to organize or facilitate a good brainstorming.

May 25th – 18h-19h – Yellow Belt Program 5: RCA (Isikawa & 5-Why)

In this 1h webinar, you will get an introduction into the use of an Ishikawa diagram (=fishbone) and the 5-Why approach as part of a Root Cause Analysis (=RCA). There are different tools that can be used for RCA-purposes; Ishikawa and 5-why are two frequently used ones. Knowing the root cause(s) of a problem is the key to implementation of a successful and permanent solution of a problem. A wrong RCA gives wrong conclusions and solutions.

June 1st – 18h-19h – Yellow Belt program 6: FMEA

This is a method to quantify problems/risks and to prioritize them against each other. This tool is often used to estimate the impact of an event in a problem situation but is also often used to predict, proactively, the impact of possible changes/actions in a process. In this 1h webinar, we will explain this method and show how it can help in making decisions. We also give tips to discover if an FMEA was done right or wrong.

June 15th – 17h-20h – Yellow Belt Program 7: Recap & simulation game

During this 3h classroom session, we will do a recap of our complete webinar-YB-journey. If participants should have questions about any of the previous webinars we will handle them or plan individual follow-up sessions. We will do this recap in group based on a simulation game we will play in different rounds. Everyone who completed the program, will afterwards receive the certificate!
