Housing Europe Annual Conference & Social Housing Film Festival 16-17 June 2021 | Digital meet-up

About this event

On 16th June, Housing Europe's Annual Conference 'New European Bauhaus #BuildingCommunities' will bring together online public, cooperative and social housing providers, European city mayors, architects and EU officials with the aim to define how we can harness design to go beyond social inclusion and create Next Generation Neighborhoods. The conference will also kick off the two-day Social Housing Film Festival (16-17 June), a compilation of thought-provoking films in different kind of genres that all have two things in common - the power of public, cooperative or social housing to improve people's lives and a strong human element.

The places we live in have the potential to enable thriving communities and ensure that all generations, and especially the European youth has access to an adequate, affordable home where they can study, learn, innovate. The ongoing global health pandemic has reinforced the connection between social and affordable housing providers with local communities. COVID-19 has also emphasized the need to ensure that our neighborhoods are opportunity and productivity hubs for learning, commerce and culture.

Join Housing Europe's annual digital conference and contribute to a necessary discussion about how we can make sure that the New European Bauhaus initiative becomes a force that unites and empowers.
