Discover the secrets of the Hallerbos Forest
Event Information
About this Event
The 552 HA Blue Forest gets its name thanks to the beautiful purple carpet of bluebells, also called wild hyacinths, which bloom around mid-April – beginning of May. Once a year, the Hallerbos forest in Belgium turns purple attracting big crowds to admire this colourful nature spectacle.
Our hike trail will be the “REEBOK WANDELING” which is 7km in about 2,5 hours. We’ll visit together the most stunning spring flower display in the world!
As it is a public forest, there are no entrance fee or opening times. Our tour starts at sunrise: one of the only moments where you truly enjoy the experience in a calm and serene forest. This hike is timed so the bluebells are at their best meaning that the ground has to be warm enough and with plenty of sunshine, which is only possible when the trees have no leaves yet.
