Balancing Life with OI - OIFE Topical Meeting

This 2-day international conference is aimed at anyone with an interest in osteogenesis imperfecta and other rare bone diseases. The focus of the meeting is on pain and its impact.

It is the first conference of its kind to cover topics such the impact of pain on fatigue, sleep, mobility, family, relationships and more.

The meeting will offer an opportunity to present and hear about the latest research, treatment methods and news related to these topics. The programme will include assessment, measurement (in the clinic and clinical trials) and management of physical and psychological challenges due to pain in OI and other rare bone diseases.

Anyone interested in the topics is welcome to attend. This includes:

• Healthcare professionals & researchers with an interest in OI in general
• Healthcare professionals & researchers with an interest in pain, fatigue, sleep, mobility, etc
• OI- and rare bone community (people with OI and other rare bone conditions, family members, staff and volunteers)
• Professionals with an interest in other rare bone conditions
• Industry representatives

The conference is a co-operation between the OIFE and the Swedish OI-organization SFOI.

OIFE ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

The OIFE Annual General Meeting (AGM) will take place Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th of June. Anyone from our member organizations can attend the OIFE AGM, but only official OIFE delegates from European member organizations have a vote. In addition, OIFE volunteers, professionals and other people with an interest in OIFE can be invited. The formal part of the AGM will take place on Saturday afternoon (16:30 - 19:00) and on Sunday we will do workshops on strategy and other relevant topics. The ticket price for the OIFE AGM is 60 euros and it includes the meeting, dinner on Saturday night and grab & go lunch on Sunday. There is a discount for 2 official delegates per OIFE member organizations. Contact the organizers if you haven't received a discount code.

SFOI MEMBERSHIP MEETING

The SFOI meeting is primarily for adult members of the Swedish OI-organization – both people with OI and parents of OI-children. Only member swho have paid the SFOI fee for 2023 can attend against a fee of 50 euros. Central professionals can ask to be invited to the lectures (but not the meals).

Saturday will offer lectures from professionals and parents of children with OI. Sunday will offer peer groups and a meeting to discuss the future of the Swedish OI-organisation.
