Description

*** 2-DAY WORKSHOP - Participants attend both 28/2/18 and 21/3/18 ***

When you have to speak before a group, do you have no idea where to start? Have you ever felt you didn't assert yourself in a high-level meeting or missed an opportunity to state your case? You are not alone!

In this workshop we'll deal with all of that. We'll focus on coaching on one hand (in which ways do you hold yourself back?) and practice, practice, practice on the other. Yes, it will be hard work at times, because that's the only way to get better!

Of course I'll share my knowledge with you throughout the workshop, and we'll apply it right away. You'll receive specific tips tailored to what you are interested in: a keynote speech, a presentation, a lecture, speaking in a panel, ...

Who Is It For

You are an ambitious employee or entrepreneur and you are convinced that being able to speak well before a group has an enormous professional impact. You realize that it is a key condition to get that promotion, inspire potential clients and customers, and be a better leader.

Workshop Outcome

After this workshop, you'll instantly make more impact on everyone you speak to. What you say, suddenly 'lands' when you speak to: colleagues, clients and other audiences. You've gained an important tool to take your personal branding to the next level.

Program

We'll approach the challenges of speaking before an audience from different angles. Those interested receive an evaluation based on a video recording of themselves speaking.

Part 1: Mindset (Day 1)

We'll look at what holds you back personally to be your best self, and we'll work on your mindset. You'll learn where your nervousness is rooted, and how you get rid of it.

Part 2: Preparation (Days 1 and 2)

I'll teach you how to best prepare a powerful presentation, looking at audience, message, structure and storytelling. With these techniques, many participants cut their general preparation time in half!

Part 3: Speaking skills (Day 2)

This part is about the art of speaking and body language. Because your message consists not only of what you say, but also how you say it. I'll teach you how to connect with your audience in a way you'll make impact.

What previous participants say

Watch this VIDEO where participants share their experience!

"I would definitely recommend the training ‘Powerful Public Speaking for Women’. It was very interesting to test and analyse different presentation styles. And it is very helpful to have some techniques at hand to manage emotions before and during a presentation."

Ilka Neumann – Project Consultant Pracsis

Learning about all the manifestations of self-doubt (apologizing, weak voice, holding back) was a real eye-opener. The small group size, interactive exercises and the sharing of stories make the day very valuable for me. I am now familiar with the key ingredients for a good public speaking performance.

Iva Petkovic - EU Panel Watch

"The fact that the training took into account not only the external work, but also the internal work made it very valuable. Very calm, educative and supportive approach to a topic that makes a lot of people nervous and stressed."

Nikoleta Arnaudova – Policy Advisor Third-I

About the venue

The Library Europe is a unique space that combines offices, coworking, and meeting rooms. Danish-born founder Anne-Sofie Van den Born Rehfeld grew up in a library, and decided to recreate that particular atmosphere that the Danish call hygge: a feeling of well-being, connection and warmth. The result is one of the cosiest and most stylish places to work and meet in Brussels. You might even be offered a home-made brownie during the break!

With metro/tram stop Montgomery and train station Merode nearby, The Library Europe is easy to reach by public transport. It is also well accessible by car.
