Organisateur de Growing Food for Wildlife Working Bees Annangrove
The Hills Shire Council is located on the outskirts of Sydney where urban meets rural. Our Local Government Area contains urban development, agriculture, and beautiful areas of natural bushland and waterways. It is a really special place, right on Sydney's doorstep.Council recognises that it plays an important role in protecting our natural environment, by reducing our own impact on the environment and by assisting our residents to do the same.We have 2 key environmental resources available to the community:-Community Environment Centre, located in Annangrove Park, cnr Currie Avenue and Annangrove Road, Annangrove. Open to the public every Thursday 9am-4pm. If you have any environmental questions, please feel free to drop in and a Council staff member or Volunteer will be available to help you.-Bidjiwong Community Nursery, located in Ted Horwood Reserve, off Renown Road, Baulkham Hills. Open to the public 9am to 1pm every Saturday. By appointment at other times. We are always looking for volunteers, so please contact Council if you are interested in getting involved.Council also coordinates a variety ofenvironmental workshops and eventsthroughout the year. Many of which are held at the Community Environment Centre or Bidjiwong Community Nursery. These workshops cover an array of environmental and sustainable living topics, and are designed to provide participants with the skills, knowledge and tools to successfully implement at home.We welcome your ideas and suggestions for future workshops and events. And please encourage your family and friends to come along and participate! We look forward to seeing you sometime soon.
