BE REEL! is a LIFE-integrated project that began in January 2018 and is scheduled to conclude in December 2024. Its primary objective is to ensure that Belgium progresses towards achieving its 2050 renovation goals by enhancing energy efficiency in residential housing. The project involves collaboration among several partners, including:Flemish Region: Responsible for implementing energy efficiency policies and initiatives in Flanders.Walloon Region: Involved in promoting sustainable housing practices and energy efficiency in Wallonia.Cities: Including Antwerp, Ghent, Mechelen, Mouscron, and La Louvière, which are actively engaged in local energy efficiency efforts and housing policies.Knowledge Centres: Such as Buildwise and Flemish Cities, which provide expertise and research support in the building sector and urban development.Together, these partners work towards improving the energy efficiency of residential buildings across Belgium, thereby contributing to the overall sustainability goals of the country and the European Union.
